Sefton’s Community Empowerment Network is a network of networks of voluntary, community and faith sector organisations. It is made up of fourteen networks including the Health and Social Care Forum and Every Child Matters Forum.
These networks aim to enable the voluntary, community and faith sector to have a role in shaping local services, have a voluntary, community and faith sector representation on the Sefton Borough Partnership, Sefton’s Local Strategic Partnership, and to support capacity building through networking, and information sharing around funding and promoting best practice.
The Health and Social Care Forum and the Sefton Advocacy Forum are two groups belonging to Sefton Community Empowerment Network (CEN).
PAT parents benefit from collaborating with other voluntary sector groups who belong to the network.
The Sefton Advocacy Forum is currently developing a shared framework for community advocacy and members are working together to raise the profile of the services they provide. PAT is contributing to this work as part of our own effort to speak for parents of disabled children.
The Health and Social Care Forum is currently working to support funding for voluntary organisations providing health and social care services. PAT is contributing to this work as part of our own effort to improve the availability of services and funding for parents with disabled children.
